  • The Association of Tanzanian Water Suppliers (ATAWAS) is a membership-based organization that operates in both Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar. It is officially registered under the Societies Ordinance of 1954 and its subsequent amendments. ATAWAS was formally established in October 2002, having obtained registration through the Register of Societies (Registration No. 11614) as a Society Organization. The primary role of the Association is to serve as a platform for water supply organizations in Tanzania, facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practices to improve their management performance in the water and sanitation sector.
